About

Dave Odegard is a New York based freelance writer.  He has an MFA in Creative Writing, which means he’s well educated in creating funny and delightful Facebook status updates.  He writes both fiction and non-fiction and somehow manages to make a pretty good living at it. Currently, Dave lives in Brooklyn with his dog Marlowe (named after the main character in Raymond Chandler’s novels) and spends his free time arguing the genius of John Carpenter movies to anyone who’ll listen and trying to write a novel.

Dave likes:

  • Sugar-free Redbull;
  • Alfred Hitchcock films;
  • And running across the Williamsburg Bridge.

He dislikes:

  • Shin splints;
  • Reality TV;
  • People who don’t use the Oxford Coma;
  • And sunburns.

And he’s indifferent to:

  • The Electoral College;
  • Pop music;
  • And fortune cookies.
